and how to do it in a creative way. >> you know, bill, i'm curious, people have talked a lot about president obama as a gifted speaker which, of course, he is. but then people say, well, that first inauguration speech was not his best moment. he tried to do a whole lot of different things. people say look, he tried to do so many different things that there wasn't that sort of one-lime memory that people get sometimes from inaugurals. will this one be different? more specific in more targeted? >> i think that people in this media environment really want to be able to pull a sound bite out and say this is the thing we are going to hang this whole speech on. this is what's going to define whether or not it's a great speech. and i think that the president, which we knew from the beginning of the last campaign, speaks in paragraphs, not in sound bites. you know, for better or for worse in some of the debates. i think this speech is going to be about talking directly with the american people about what is this moment and how can we actually still make progress even though the politics in
